Field Notes
traces from the landscape
Field Notes is an ongoing record of Curlew Collective’s work in the landscape.
Rather than documenting finished pieces, this space gathers fragments of process — walks across the moor, materials placed into the bog, marks left by water and weather, and the slow emergence of forms. It is a place for noticing, testing and reflection.
The work often begins without a clear outcome. Textiles are submerged, buried or left exposed. Surfaces are marked by peat, plants and time. What returns from the landscape becomes the starting point for making.
These notes may take many forms — images, short texts, drawings, conversations — and will build over time as the project develops. They offer a way of sharing the quieter, less visible parts of the work.
